YES Concert Sells Out The Cap; Thrills Longtime Fans

The progressive rock band drew fans that remember seeing the band when they first came to the United States, and to The Cap, in the early 70s.

The Capitol Theater’s An Evening With YES sold out this past Sunday and drew fans who have been YES lovers since the unique prog-rock band first arrived in the United States in the early 70s. The Grammy award-winning band, currently comprised of singer Jon Davison, bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Steve Howe, drummer Alan White and keyboardist Geoff Downes, played an energetic show that featured three albums from the 70s in their entirety: Close To the Edge, The Yes Album, & Going For The One.

The audience, a typical YES crowd of people in their 50s, was very familiar with the albums and pleased to see the band give an outstanding performance. The show included one of their most well-known hits "I've Seen All Good People." Here is the full setlist.

The Cap did not miss the opportunity to celebrate the band’s return to Port Chester, they played The Cap on July 14, 1971. The theater treated the fans to elaborate projections and even thrilled them with a blast of confetti at the end of the show.
