The Great Escape: A Trip to the Westchester Broadway Theatre

See 'I Do, I Do' at the Westchester Broadway Theatre during its last weekend onstage.

For any couple who has made a habit out of finishing each other’s sentences and grappling over whose turn it is to pick up a quart of milk from the supermarket, head over to the Westchester Broadway Theatre this weekend for a few laughs.

Set in the mid 20th century, the Elmsford venue’s current stage production, I Do! I Do! will pull at the heartstrings of anyone who’s ever been in long-term love, laying out a humorously relatable take on a 50-year marriage filled with bouts of both happiness and sorrow—and reminding folks that romance isn’t always a bed of roses.

Patrons will good-naturedly relate to Agnes and Michael's journey through life as it begins on their wedding day and sails through challenges like parenting, mood swings and other ups and downs. Some may even remember the musical by Schmidt & Jones when it originally opened its curtains on Broadway back in 1966.

The best part? You can hop in the car and be there in less than 30 minutes, avoiding New York City traffic and headaches.

“I Do! I Do!” will be onstage this Thursday, March 17-Sunday, March 20. Tickets are available by phone at 914.592.2222 or reserve online.
