Yonkers BID Continues the Fifth Annual Free Jazz and Blues at Dusk Concert Series

For the fifth consecutive year, the Yonkers Amphitheatre will be one of the area’s most popular destinations for music lovers and the perfect setting to kick off a weekend of summer fun when the Yonkers Downtown Business Improvement District presents its Free “Jazz and Blues at Dusk” Summer Concert Series. The Yonkers Amphitheatre stage will feature performances by some of the New York metropolitan area’s top jazz and blues artists on 10 consecutive Fridays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm through September 2.  If rain, the concerts will be staged at the Yonkers Pier. The series is made possible by the Yonkers Downtown BID and the support of sponsors —Domino Sugar of Yonkers, Key Bank and Sound Associates.

This Friday: The Jan Leder Quartet A born-and-raised New Yorker, Jan Leder decided to pursue her love for improvisation after 12 years of studying classical music. Her repertoire includes standard bebop, swing, blues and bossa novas as well as her own unique jazz compositions and those of her musical colleagues.
