Can Mars Support Life? An Exploration of Mars and the Moon

The Brown Club of Westchester County will be presenting a lecture entitled, "Exploring Neighbors with NASA and Brown" with renowned Professor of Geological Sciences Jack Mustard.

Mars looks like it had all the ingredients necessary to support life: water, energy, and nutrients. But did it? Exciting new data continues to pour in from Mars and an international effort to answer that question is underway. Brown faculty and students are deeply involved in this effort and are also embarking on a new exploration of the Moon. They are on the front lines in turning bits of knowledge into beautiful pictures. Come and hear the latest developments on how Brown is helping to open doors with a greater understanding of our neighbors in space!

The lecture will be held at the New Rochelle Public Library on  Oct. 24 from 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm.  The cost is $5 per person and will be collected at the door.  Rervations are required by sending an e-mail to mark.schindler@commerzbank.com by Oct. 15.
