Workshop For Seniors At The Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library

Residents from Port Chester and Rye Brook who are seniors and their caregivers, can attend a free seminar on senior benefits.

Senior Benefits Information Center (SBIC) is holding a workshop  “Helping Seniors Connect to Medicare Benefits and Government Services” at the Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library in the Wein meeting room on the second floor on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 11 am -2 pm

 

Senior Benefits Information Centers help adults 55 and over and those caregivers better understand Medicare health plans, and prescription drug coverage.

Seniors and their caregivers will get information on: Medicare, Part D prescription drug coverage, Medicare savings plans for low-income seniors, HEAP, food stamps and other benefit programs.

SBIC is a partnership of the Westchester Library System, Medicare Rights Center and Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services. The U.S.. Department of Health and Human Services and NY State Office fund SBIC for Aging.

 

This allows the seniors and caregivers to meet with a counselor one on one for a private discussion.

 

Make sure to bring your Medicare card and any other insurance card that you may have.
