Folks across Putnam, Rockland and Westchester were doing more than shoveling Thursday and Friday—they were busy snapping photos, too.

We've rounded up a dozen picturesque images that were shared on social media during Winter Storm Pax.

As you're out and about this weekend, share your pics on Patch or use one of these hashtags when you post on social media:#westchestersnow#rocklandsnow #putnamsnow

Just more baseless fabrications, temperatures have been and continue to increase and we have been beyond normal highs this whole century. Please tell us all if global warming is a hoax, why are the ice sheets and glacier melting, oceans rising and becoming more acidic, C02 levels increasing, record temperatures being set, increase in extreme weather events, migration patterns changing, mass extinction, severe droughts and more significantly heat radiation to space dropping. If you can explain all this with actual SCIENCE without referring to Gore then I will "give it up", but until then I will be concerned about our children s future (they deserve better) as should you. It is about the science.

Geeeeze Issy...posting at 4:51am? Just back from the bars? Your message sounds like it is a little alcohol injected. None of the things you claim are happening are, in fact, happening. Nonetheless, time to move on to another subject. Today is yet another freezing cold day. I think we've had maybe two or three since Christmas that were normal or above. To me that is not "weather" but climate.

Wow! An article about nature and the lack of plowing turns into a lecture by misguided climate change deniers who try to rebut mountains of evidence about climate change. Temperature extremes are signs of climate change. Guess a few of you really had cabin fever--I can relate. Maybe we can talk about the lack of effective plowing and such or we could just continue to rant about conflicting climate theories which the average Hudson Valley resident really doesn't have time to worry about!

Cal and Issy - for God's sake look out the window. It looks and feels like we are in Siberia. Smelly is exactly right.... at a certain point this becomes hard evidence of global cooling rather than a temporary "weather" pattern. Sorry, you guys are drinking the Kool-Aid.

So scientists should just look out of their windows to study the world's climate rather than relying on decades of research?.......... The reason why we are having an extreme winter (as predicted by global warming) is that the Jet-stream has become unstable this season due to the warming of the Arctic. Please take the time to look at the overwhelming evidence rather than listening to talking-heads.
