Whole Foods Teaches Carver Center Kids About Healthy Foods

Whole Foods is in the process of building a new store on Boston Post Road and plans to open this fall.

The following was shared by the Carver Center on their Facebook page: Whole Foods visited Carver as part of a very exciting initiative coordinated by Port Chester Cares. Carver campers painted ceramic tiles, featuring healthy messages and foods. Once fired and glazed, the tiles will be displayed in the café of the new WF store, opening in October. A Whole Foods expert facilitated the painting project and spoke to the children on the importance of eating a healthy, balanced diet and Port Chester Cares Americorps members helped out throughout the day.

Port Chester Cares and The Carver Center are working with Whole Foods to develop a long-term relationship and programs that they can run in partnership.
