The Great Escape: Take a Hands-On Approach to Creatures of the Deep at the Maritime Aquarium

Visit the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk, CT for a hands-on look at deep-sea dwellers.

Even those plagued with nightmares about ending up like the swimmers in Jaws will enjoy a trip to this Connecticut aquarium.

From IMAX movies to a steady rotation of exhibitions all year round, visitors will realize the different species who inhabit the deep (i.e. the Long Island Sound) are not so scary after all—while having a little fun, too. Even the greatest of shark-phobes will sleep a little easier after petting troves of them in touch tanks on premises.

Kids: Did you know that Timon from Disney classic, The Lion King, was a meerkat? Be sure to check out the new exhibit, “Meerkats,” where animal lovers of all ages will get to see members of the African species in their underground burrows.
