Snow Cancels Some Programs in Port Chester and Rye

Port Chester schools were closed Tuesday, and there have been some changes to area programs.

At the Rye YMCA, The Healthier Sound Shore Coalition Teen Panel scheduled for Tuesday has been cancelled due to inclement weather, according to its website.

City of Rye Recreation says Tuesday’s ice skating program is cancelled, and that “Games & More” for Wedensday is full (no drop-ins allowed) and that ice skating for Thursday is full.

It isn’t clear whether the Rye Free Reading Room is open as usual, 1 to 8 p.m., or the Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library. Attempts to reach the libraries by phone were not successful. However, there is no indication on either website that the facilties are closed Tuesday.
