Port Chester Boy Scouts Help Carver Center Food Pantry

Donation drive gathers much-needed supplies.

Port Chester Boy Scouts reached out to local shoppers on Saturday and collected 20 shopping carts full of donations to support the food pantry at the Carver Center in Port Chester.

The scouts of Troop 400 were at the Port Chester Pathmark store on Midland Avenue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday in an effort to help stock up the food pantry, which is among sources of help for the needy in Port Chester.

Cub Scouts from Pack 19 of Port Chester also helped out at the drive, as well as Girl Scouts from Troop 2896.
