CONTEST: Best Locket Inscriptions Win Tickets to See ANNIE on Broadway

“ANNIE’s LOCKET OF LOVE” Sweepstakes asks Patch communities in New York: If you could give a locket to someone you care about deeply, what would the inscription say?

The iconic story of ANNIE is about hope, optimism and love, and there is no better symbol of that than the locket Annie wears around her neck, a token of love from her biological parents to help her get through tough times.

As ANNIE returns to Broadway’s Palace Theater, organizers would like to give Patch community members in New York a chance to express that same kind hope by creating their own locket inscriptions, with the best entries scoring a chance to win two tickets to see the show.

To enter tell us in 110 characters or less in the comment section below: If you had a locket, who would you give it to and what would it say?

We’ll keep the comment section open through the week, and multiple entries are allowed. Then on Feb. 11 we’ll select the Top 10 submissions and ask users to vote in a Patch poll for the one they think is the best. The writer of the most popular inscription will win tickets to have a "date night" at ANNIE on Broadway.

Tickets can be redeemed at any Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening performance of ANNIE from Feb. 14 to March 14.

Good luck. More details about the contest are attached.

"No matter what happens throughout your life, when you look inside you're heart, know I'm always there." I would give it to my son and daughter to share throughout their life as a tradition. When they had a special moment, or a moment when they needed a little extra support, they could give to one another to remind them I share the good times and help them through the difficult ones. It would become a tradition and an heirloom and further generations would also know I love and support my family... Forever!

I would give the locket to my wife. One of our favorite movies is The Muppet Movie. Our love is very similar to that of Kermit and Miss Piggy. The locket would read "Never before and Never Again" which is a line from a song in the movie.
Kermy4 February 02, 2013 at 04:35 PM
The inscription would read "OTTID" which is DITTO backward. Does anyone remember the movie Ghost? I would give it to my wife.

Very unfair to give someone less than 24 hours to respond. It was an unfortunate situation, but giving 12 hours' notice is just not enough time. Next time I hope you will consider this.

I would give the locket to my honey (my fiance), we meet each other later in life (mid-late 40's) and 8 years later I couldn't be happier or more blessed. The inscription would be: "ILY ~ WAMH ~ FNAFE ~ TBHYTB" Which means I Love You With All My Heart For Now And Forever The Best Has Yet To Be! We have signed all our cards & notes this way since the beginning!
