Building It Whole in Port Chester

Work continues at a good clip at the future home of Whole Foods in Port Chester.

The Austin, TX-based chain which sells natural and organic foods is planning to open sometime in fall 2013 in the former 45,000-square foot building that once housed the A&P store on the Boston Post Road.

The store is to include a 100-seat cafe. According to spokesman Michael Sinatra, "We will be opening definitely in the fall. It should land sometime in October," Sinatra said.

Sinatra said the store will hire at least 150 people for various positions. The chain also operates markets in Greenwich, White Plains and Yonkers.
