5k Run Will Go On, Despite Port Chester Day Cancellation
With an early morning start time, Saturday's 5k run is expected to wrap up well ahead of Hurricane Irene's local arrival.
Although Port Chester Day has been postponed in anticipation of Hurricane Irene, Saturday morning's 5k race is still set to go.
The race will kick off at 9:30 a.m. beginning at Lyon Park. For more information, call the Port Chester Recreation Department at 914-939-2354.
In the meantime, Port Chester Day has been rescheduled for Sept. 24, with a rain date of Sept. 25, according to the village's recreation department.
