My grandfather Charlie Covino was chairman of the Columbus day parade for 50 years...he loved Port Chester and loved his Italian Heritage....he was well know all over the village especially for his little Broadway luncheonette which included a barber shop and pool hall...right across the street from Empire Brush...I used to love and get so excited when I saw him coming down the street with his flag and banner that said GRAND MARSHALL.....all those years ago
