(WJCS) raised nearly a half million dollars at its recent Gala honoring Board members of Rye Brook and of Armonk, outstanding leaders who have helped shape the agency’s programs.
Held at the Moderne Barn in Armonk, the Gala drew more than 250 guests who enjoyed delicious hors d'oeuvres and cocktails including the Victor-ious Mojito and Laura's Berry Special Pink Lemonade, which were specially invented for the event.
The highlight of the evening came when several WJCS consumers spoke movingly about the impact the agency has had on their lives. One of the county’s oldest human service agencies, WJCS provides more than 80 programs at clinics, schools, community centers and synagogues from Yonkers to Peekskill. Funds raised will go toward support of those programs.
