Blind Brook Special Board of Education Meeting

There will be a special Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, September 10th at 8:30 p.m. in the Monroe E. Haas Instructional Media Center at the Blind Brook Middle School/High School building for the purpose of addressing collective bargaining issues involving the Blind Brook Federation of Teachers.

 Deadline to Donate to County Operation Backpack

Westchester County’s Operation Backpack, a program run by the Dept. of Social Services, collects school supplies for the needy. People can donate by finding a collect bin set up in various government offices and at area businesses found around the county.  The Woman’s Club of Rye Family Portraits

From the Woman’s Club: Get a jump start on planning for your holiday cards! Check something off your “To-do List” while helping out a good cause! The Woman’s Club of Rye is holding sign-ups on September 13 for their annual fundraiser, Family Portraits in the Park. Sittings will be in The Rye Nature Center September 22 and 29 or Rye Town Park October 6, 13, 14, 20 and 27.

 Proceeds from this fundraiser go toward children’s programs in Rye. In person sign-ups will be held at Rye Recreation from 9 am till 1 pm on September 13. Online sign-ups start September 14 at signupgenius.com. Search for familyphotosofrye@gmail.com. $95 payable by check at Rye Recreation or $100 payable online via PayPal.
