Congrats Emma Langley; PC Deli Failed Health Inspection; Rye Parking Permits

Emma Langley Places 5th at Westchester Tri

We told you to watch Greenwich’s Emma Langley at the Westchester Triathlon this weekend, and she certainly proved us right!

Langely, a 17-year-old 2013 Greenwich High School graduate, came in fifth place overall for the women’s group and was first in her age group.  Congratulations to Emma and all the other Tri finishers.

Josie Deli Grocery Failed Health Inspection

Josie Deli in Port Chester got $3,000 fines for failing state health inspections some time in the last five years, according to an article in The Journal News published Sept. 28.

The article named about a dozen stores in Westchester, Putnam and Rockland for their citations by the state Department of Agriculture & Markets, the agency that regulates retailers that sell and prepare food.

Non-Rye Residents Can Begin Renewing Parking Permits Today

From the City of Rye: The second batch of Resident Railroad Commuter Parking Permits has been mailed out to those who renewed their permits between September 13th and September 26th.  Permits for the Highland and Cedar lots will not be mailed out until the entire process is completed.

Beginning on October 1st, Non-residents may begin renewing their permits.

The deadline for renewal of all commuter permits and waitlist is October 31st at 5:00 p.m.

Highland Cedar permit holders, who are also on the waitlist, will automatically be renewed for the waitlist when they renew their permit.

When you receive you permit, please read the information on the sheet it is attached to.
