Stabbing Victim's Mother: 'We Want Justice'

As police follow up on leads in the stabbing death of a 23-year-old Port Chester man, the victim's mother calls for justice.

Port Chester police released a photo of stabbing victim Carlos Guiracocha this afternoon, as detectives follow several leads related to the early-morning homicide.

Meanwhile, the victim's mother, Maria Maza, told The Journal News that her son "didn't deserve to die like that."

"We want justice," Maza told the newspaper.

The report also quotes the victim's sister, Lourdes Guiracocha, who says her brother called her hours before he died. Lourdes Guiracocha told the Journal News her brother asked her for forgiveness and seemed to know he was heading for a violent confrontation.

Carlos Guiracocha, 23, was found outside 131 Poningo St. at 3:55 a.m. Responding officers said Guiracocha was unresponsive, and paramedics who arrived a few minutes later declared the Port Chester man dead on the scene.

Police Chief Joseph Krzeminski said detectives are following up on several leads.

"We believe these people knew each other," Krzeminski said. "If anyone has any information, call us. They can remain anonymous if they want to."

People just do not go around stabbing people for no reason . Im sure there is more to this story . I do agree no one deserves to die like that and whatever happened to a good fight these days ..
