[UPDATE] Port Chester Firefighters Stop Blaze on Glen Avenue

Firefighters: Kitchen fire spread to second floor. No one was injured.

A Port Chester home was heavily damaged Thursday night by a blaze that started in the kitchen and spread to the second floor, according to Port Chester firefighters.

No one was reported injured in the fire or the firefighting effort and investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.

Firefighters were called to the home at 450 Glen Ave. around 8:18 p.m. The fire was reported knocked down by about 8:54 p.m. However, firefighters continued working at the home until around 10 p.m. to be certain the fire was completely extinguished.
