Port Chester police have made an arrest in connection with a Feb. 7 stabbing which claimed the life of a Port Chester man.
Details about the arrest haven't yet been released.
The victim, 23-year-old Carlos Guiracocha, was pronounced dead after paramedics arrived at 4 a.m.
Detectives and patrol units have been out in force since the homicide, canvassing neighborhoods and following leads from community members. Several surveillance cameras on Poningo Street had an angle on the crime scene, although it's not clear if footage from those cameras assisted police in the investigation.
A knife recovered at the crime scene may be the murder weapon, police said last week.
Police are expected to release information on the arrest later today.

High marks for our Port Chester Police Department and the Detective Unit for a swift arrest which resulted from its investigation.
There must be a consistent message that violence will not be tolerated in our Village, this arrest and possibly more, directly support that position.
Thank you to Chief Krzeminski and all of the members of the Port Chester Police Department.
