Holiday Horror: Port Chester Novelist Releases New Novellas
Lisa Mannetti's "Deathwatch" is a follow-up to her award-winning first novel, "The Gentling Box."
While readers patiently wait for novelist Lisa Mannetti's second effort, there are two new novellas to tide them over.
The Port Chester-based horror writer won critical accolades and the coveted Bram Stoker Award for Best New Novel in 2008 for "The Gentling Box."
Port Chester Patch profiled Mannetti on Halloween, when "The Gentling Box" was re-released as an e-book. Mannetti revealed details about her forthcoming novel, which will take readers to a Mount Everest haunted by the souls of the many climbers who died scaling its peak.
Mannetti's new "Deathwatch" is now available as an e-book from Amazon. It includes two previously-unreleased novellas set in the 19th century–both incorporate themes familiar to Mannetti's fans and horror afficionados, and a more sinister, gothic version of New York figures prominently in both stories.
Readers can check out excerpts from the novellas on AuthorsDen, and the e-book is available for download via Amazon's Kindle store.
