Cooking Class Brings Moms And Kids Together

Tarry Market sessions also look at making lite meals.

There are some interesting classes on tap this week at in Port Chester, including a special one in preparation for Mother's Day.

Tomorrow, the class focuses on light and healthy lunch ideas. For Mother's Day, there's a class for moms and kids. Space is limited and are starting to fill up.

Lite Meals. Sometimes a light soup and sandwich is all it takes to satisfy you. As the weather gets warmer the last thing you are looking for is a big heavy meal. In this class we will start with our own vegetable stock and build a spring inspired soups, along with a creative condiment spread to build a delicious sandwich.

Mother’s Day Special Class: making the Perfect Brunch for Mom

$100 for mom and child; second child $125

In these classes practice making a yummy brunch for Mom on Mother’s Day. The class covers several cooking techniques including: poaching, frying and sautéing; in addition to knife skills. Recipes will include Croque Madame with a Poached Egg, Crepes with Warm Fruit and Mascarpone, Sweet Polenta Bites with Honey and a Fruit Smoothie.
